Privacy policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
Intriga is a mystery game for iOS and Android in which you investigate someone else’s phone to solve a case. This policy explains what data the app processes, why, with whom, and what you can do about it.
Intriga does not read your phone. The phone you investigate in the game is made up: its messages, photos and contacts come with the case. The app does not access your contacts, your photos, your location, your camera or your microphone.

There is no data protection officer, because the law does not require one for this processing. Any privacy question can go to the email above.
2. No accounts
Intriga has no sign-up and no log-in. We do not ask for your email, your phone number or your real name. The name you want the game to call you is kept only on your device and is never sent to any server.
3. What data is processed
| Data | Why | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Your progress in each case, your preferences (music, language, your consent choices) and the name you choose | So you can pick up where you left off | Only on your device, and in its backups if you have them turned on. Deleted when you uninstall the app |
| Technical data of each download: IP address, date and file requested | Downloading the list of cases and the cases | InsForge, which hosts the cases, and its delivery network |
| The device’s advertising identifier, IP, device data and data about the ads shown | Showing you a rewarded ad when you ask for a hint. Personalised only if you consent | Google AdMob |
| An anonymous app identifier, the purchases made and their status | Giving you access to the cases you buy and restoring them on another device | RevenueCat, App Store and Google Play |
| Game events (case started and finished, right or wrong answers, hints asked for, purchase screens seen, and the text of typed answers the game rejects), with a pseudonymous identifier, device and app data, and the IP, used only to estimate the country | Learning which cases and questions work, which ones get players stuck, and improving the cases. Only if you consent | PostHog |
| Error reports: device type, system and app version, and the error | Finding and fixing bugs | Sentry |
| Technical data of visits to this website: IP address, browser, date and page requested | Serving the website and protecting it from abuse. This website uses no cookies and no analytics | Vercel, which hosts this website |
Rejected answers. If you have accepted analytics, when you type an answer and the game does not accept it, it is sent to PostHog in lower case, without accents or punctuation and cut to 40 characters, together with the case and the question. It shows us which reasonable answers are not accepted so we can fix the case. Please do not type personal data in them: we do not need it and do not use it.
We do not sell personal data or share it for commercial purposes. We do not use game events for advertising or link them to your identity.
4. Legal basis
- Performance of a contract: downloading the cases, giving you access to the ones you buy, and restoring purchases.
- Consent: game analytics and personalised ads. We ask about analytics the first time you open the app, and about ads just before the first ad, with Google’s consent form and, on iOS, with Apple’s tracking prompt. If you decline analytics, no game event is sent. If you decline personalised ads, the ones you see when you ask for a hint will not be personalised. You can change your choice at any time in the app’s settings.
- Legitimate interest: error reports, which carry no advertising identifier, so the game works; and the technical data of downloads and of visits to this website, to serve and protect them. You can object by writing to the contact email.
- Legal obligation: whatever tax or consumer law, or the authorities, require.
5. Providers
| Provider | Service |
|---|---|
| InsForge | Hosting the cases |
| Vercel | Hosting this website |
| Google (AdMob and Google Play) | Rewarded ads, the consent form, purchases on Android |
| Apple (App Store) | Purchases on iOS and the tracking prompt |
| RevenueCat | Managing purchases and restoring them |
| PostHog | Game analytics, if you accept it |
| Sentry | Error reports |
Each one processes data under its own terms and the applicable agreements. Some are outside the European Economic Area; in that case the safeguards provided by the GDPR apply, such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions. 6. How long
Data on your device, until you uninstall the app. Analytics and error data, as long as needed for the purposes above, under each provider’s retention settings. Purchase data, as long as needed to give you access and to meet legal obligations.
7. Children
Intriga is for ages 13 and up and is not directed at children under 13. In Spain, people can consent to data processing themselves from the age of 14. If you are under 14, ask your parent or guardian to read this policy and decide for you whether to accept analytics and personalised ads. If you think we have processed a minor’s data without the required consent, write to us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability of your data, and withdraw your consent, by writing to support@rcuadrado.es. Since there are no accounts, analytics data is not linked to your name: to help you we may need you to tell us your device and when you played. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or to the authority where you live.
You can reset or limit the advertising identifier in your device’s settings.
9. Changes
If something important changes, we will update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app when needed.
